Get gardening with expert Alan Titchmarsh

Younger families can get gardening with Tv set expert Alan Titchmarsh, the Footprint Trust and Barnardo’s.
The new challenge, set to launch in spring 2018, will really encourage young families to get gardening.
Run via the Footprint Trust, it will supply gardening teaching to kids and their families at Barnardo’s loved ones centres throughout the Isle of Wight.
Harvesting and cookery classes will follow in the summer, supported by grant funding from Alan Titchmarsh via the IW Community Foundation.
Alan Titchmarsh, who unveiled the event, at West Newport Spouse and children Centre in Wellington Road, at the conclusion of July, said: “Young children like character and observing things increase and, to be ready to really encourage the entire loved ones to supply a nutritious, nutritious food from a tiny seed is a amazing option.
“All parents know how difficult it can be to really encourage their kids to consume healthily and finding the young children concerned in digging up a handful of ripe carrots, or picking some fresh new runner beans and then becoming ready to put together and cook, or bake a dish like a stir fry or carrot cake will really encourage young children to have interaction to a substantially larger extent with diet.”
